  • Hub is unresponsive after a power outage

  • Devices are not responding
  • ZigBee mesh network needs repair
  • General performance issues

To reboot the Samsung SmartThings Hub

Follow these steps:

  1. Press the recessed red button on the back of the Hub for 5 seconds
  2. Wait 5-10 minutes for the Hub to reboot
  3. When the Hub is back online, its LED will turn solid green

Alternatively, you can perform a “hard” reboot of the Hub (if button-pressing isn’t your thing):

  1. Disconnect the power and ethernet cables from the Hub
  2. Remove the 4 AA batteries (if installed)
  3. Wait 2-3 minutes
  4. Reinstall the batteries (optional but recommended)
  5. Reconnect the power and ethernet cables
  6. When the Hub is back online, its LED will turn solid green
