Fibaro Single and Double Switch 2

The Fibaro Single Switch 2 enables you to control lights wirelessly by inserting a micro module into an existing light switch. It can also be used in outlets to control small appliances. Single Switch 2 measures energy and has a built in Z-Wave range tester. The Fibaro Double Switch 2 enables you to control 2 independent light sources.

To connect the Fibaro Single and Double Switch 2 with the SmartThings Hub

In the SmartThings app:

  1. From the Home screen, touch the Plus (+) icon and select Add device
  2. Select Fibaro and touch Switch/dimmer
  3. Choose a Hub for the device and touch Next
  4. Choose a Room for the device and touch Next
  5. While the Hub searches, press the S1 Switch three (3) times

 

To reset the Fibaro Single and Double Switch 2

If the Fibaro Universal Dimmer was not detected, you may need to reset, or “exclude,” the device before it can successfully connect with the SmartThings Hub. To do this in the SmartThings app:

  1. From the Home screen, touch Menu (Menu icon), and select Devices
  2. Touch the Hub and select More Options (More Options menu icon)
  3. Touch Z-Wave utilities and select Z-Wave exclusion
  4. Press the S1 switch three (3) times

When the app indicates that the device was successfully removed from SmartThings, follow the instructions above to connect the Fibaro Universal Dimmer.

 

To connect the Fibaro Single and Double Switch 2 with the SmartThings Hub

From the SmartThings Classic app:

  1. Touch My Home
  2. Under Things, touch Add a Thing at the bottom of your Things list
  3. The app will say Looking for devices…
  4. While the Hub searches, quickly press the S1 switch (turns the light on) or the B-button (located on the device’s housing) three times
  5. When the device is discovered, it will be listed at the top of the screen
  6. Touch the device to rename it and touch Done
  7. When finished, touch Save
  8. Touch Ok to confirm

 

To reset the Fibaro Single and Double Switch 2

If the Fibaro Universal Dimmer was not detected, you may need to reset, or “exclude,” the device before it can successfully connect with the SmartThings Hub. To do so in the SmartThings Classic app:

  1. Touch the menu (Android) / More (iOS)
  2. Touch the Hub
  3. Touch Z-Wave Utilities
  4. Touch General Device Exclusion
  5. When prompted, quickly press switch no. 1 (turns the light on) or the B-button (located on the device’s housing) three times

When the app indicates that the device was successfully removed from SmartThings, follow the first set of instructions above to connect the Fibaro Universal Dimmer.
