Fibaro Single and Double Switch 2

The FIBARO Single Switch 2 enables you to control lights wirelessly by inserting a micro module into an existing light switch. It can also be used in outlets to control small appliances. Single Switch 2 measures energy and has a built in Z-Wave range tester. The FIBARO Double Switch 2 enables you to control 2 independent light sources.

 

To connect the FIBARO Single and Double Switch 2

In the SmartThings mobile app:

  1. From the Dashboard, tap Add device
  2. Android: Tap Add Device Manually
  3. Select Switch/dimmer
  4. Tap Fibaro
  5. If you have more than one SmartThings Hub connected, select the Location you would like to add the device to, then tap Done
  6. While the Hub searches, quickly press the S1 switch three times
  7. When the device is discovered, a message will appear that the device was successfully connected to your SmartThings Hub
  8. Tap Edit to rename the device
  9. When finished, tap Done
  10. Tap Done again to confirm

 

To reset the FIBARO Single and Double Switch 2

If the FIBARO device was not discovered, you may need to reset, or “exclude,” the device before it can successfully connect with the SmartThings Hub. To do this in the SmartThings mobile app:

  1. From the Dashboard, tap on the Devices tab
  2. Tap the Hub
  3. Tap the three dots in the top right
  4. Tap Z-Wave exclusion
  5. When prompted, quickly press the S1 switch three times

After the app indicates that the device was successfully removed from SmartThings, follow the first set of instructions above to connect the FIBARO device.

 

To remove the FIBARO Single and Double Switch 2 from SmartThings

If the FIBARO device is connected but not operating as normal, you may need to remove the device and reconnect it with the SmartThings Hub.

To remove the device via the SmartThings app:

  1. From the Dashboard, tap on the Devices tab
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right
  3. Tap Edit
  4. Tap the red minus icon (-) next to the name of the device
  5. Confirm removal (this cannot be undone)
  6. When prompted, perform the exclusion procedure to remove the device from the mobile app and from the SmartThings Hub
