Sengled Element Classic and Plus

The Sengled Element Classic and Sengled Element Plus are ZigBee bulbs you can use with SmartThings and other connected devices to automate your lighting on a schedule, or turn the bulb on and off in response to activity around the house.

The following Sengled Element Classic and Plus ZigBee bulbs can be connected to your SmartThings Hub:

  • Sengled Element Classic (E11-G13)
  • Sengled Element Classic BR30 2700k (E12-N14)
  • Sengled Element Classic A19 5000k (E11-G14)
  • Sengled Element Color Plus (E11-N1EA)
  • Sengled Element Plus (Z01-A19NAE26)
  • Sengled Element Plus Tunable White E27 (Z01-A60EAE27)
  • Sengled Element Plus Tunable White B22 (Z01-A60EAB22)

  • SmartThings app
  • SmartThings Classic app

How to connect the Sengled Element Bulb in the SmartThings app

Note: The Sengled Element Bulb is supported in the US and UK.

In the SmartThings mobile app:

  1. From the Dashboard, tap Add device
  2. Android: Tap Add Device Manually
  3. Select Light bulb
  4. Tap Sengled
  5. If you have more than one SmartThings Hub connected, select the Location you would like to add the device to, then tap Done
  6. While the Hub searches, turn the bulb ON
  7. When the device is discovered, a message will appear that the device was successfully connected to your SmartThings Hub
  8. Tap Edit to rename the device
  9. When finished, tap Done
  10. Tap Done again to confirm

 

How to reset the Sengled Element Bulb

To re-initiate pairing mode, reset the bulb.

Or, if the bulb is connected with SmartThings but is not performing as expected, remove the device via the SmartThings app, reset the device, and then reconnect it with the SmartThings Hub.

To remove the device via the SmartThings app:

  1. From the Dashboard, tap on the Devices tab
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right
  3. Tap Edit
  4. Tap the red minus icon (-) next to the name of the device
  5. Confirm removal (this cannot be undone)

To physically reset the device:

  1. Beginning with the bulb ON, quickly turn the bulb OFF and ON 10 times in quick succession (using a light switch or power strip works best)
  2. The bulb will blink 5 times when it has successfully reset

Once reset, the bulb is then ready to be connected with the SmartThings Hub. Follow the first set of instructions above to connect the bulb and the Hub should automatically discover the bulb within a few minutes.

How to connect the Sengled Element Bulb in the SmartThings Classic app

In the SmartThings Classic mobile app:

  1. Tap My Home
  2. Under Things, tap Add a Thing at the bottom of your Things list
  3. The app will say Looking for devices…
  4. While the Hub searches, turn the bulb ON
  5. When the device is discovered, it will be listed at the top of the screen
  6. Tap the device to rename it and tap Done
  7. When finished, tap Save
  8. Tap Ok to confirm
