Centralite Smart Outlet

The Centralite Smart Outlet (3200-C) lets you control, automate, and monitor lamps, electronics, and small appliances from anywhere—it’s not laziness, it’s the future! All you have to do is plug the device into the Outlet. Trigger lamps to automatically turn on when you come home, turn off an accidentally left-on coffee pot from your smartphone, and transform any three-prong outlet into a smart, controllable device.

When plugged in, this ZigBee outlet also acts as a ZigBee repeater, extending the range of ZigBee devices on your network. There's no wiring or complicated setup needed.

How to connect the Centralite Smart Outlet in the SmartThings app

In the SmartThings mobile app:

  1. From the Dashboard, tap Add device
  2. Android: Tap Add Device Manually
  3. Select Outlet
  4. Tap Centralite
  5. If you have more than one SmartThings Hub connected, select the Location you would like to add the device to, then tap Done
  6. While the Hub searches, plug in the Outlet
  7. When the device is discovered, a message will appear that the device was successfully connected to your SmartThings Hub
  8. Tap Edit to rename the device
  9. When finished, tap Done
  10. Tap Done again to confirm

 

How to reset the Centralite Smart Outlet

If the Centralite Smart Outlet didn't connect to the Hub when you plugged it in, reset and connect the device manually.

  1. Remove the Outlet from the wall receptacle
  2. Press and hold the Outlet’s Connect button while plugging the device back into the wall
  3. As soon as the LED turns on, quickly release the button
  4. From the Dashboard in the SmartThings app, tap Add device
  5. Android: Tap Add Device Manually
  6. Select Outlet
  7. Tap Centralite
  8. Once the app shows a device has been found, follow the configuration steps above

 

How to remove the Outlet from SmartThings

If the Outlet is not performing as expected, you may need to reset the device and/or remove and reconnect the device with the SmartThings Hub.

To remove the device via the SmartThings app:

  1. From the Dashboard, tap on the Devices tab
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right
  3. Tap Edit
  4. Tap the red minus icon (-) next to the name of the device
  5. Confirm removal (this cannot be undone)

 

How to connect the Centralite Smart Outlet in the SmartThings Classic app

Follow the instructions below or consult the Outlet’s manual at the bottom of this article.

In the SmartThings Classic app:

  1. Tap My Home
  2. Under Things, tap Add a Thing at the bottom of your Things list
  3. The app will say Looking for devices…
  4. While the Hub searches, plug in the Outlet
  5. When the device is discovered, it will be listed at the top of the screen
  6. Tap the device to rename it and tap Done
  7. When finished, tap Save
  8. Tap Ok to confirm

 

How to reset the Centralite Smart Outlet

If the Centralite Smart Outlet didn't connect to the Hub when you plugged it in, reset and connect the device manually.

  1. Remove the Outlet from the wall receptacle
  2. Press and hold the Outlet’s Connect button while plugging the device back into the wall

  4. From the SmartThings Classic app, tap My Home
  5. Under Things, tap Add a Thing at the bottom of your Things list
