2Gig CT100 Programmable Thermostat

You and your family will probably never agree on the perfect indoor temperature. But with a smart thermostat, you can automate your heating and cooling to react to everyone's preferences and behavior.

The 2Gig CT100 Programmable Thermostat is a wireless Z-Wave thermostat that can be used to both remotely and automatically adjust the temperature in your home at the touch of a button. SmartThings literally puts the control of your house's temperature in the palm of your hands. In addition, you can set the thermostat to change in response to events from other SmartThings devices or on a set schedule you determine.

 

To connect the 2Gig CT100 Programmable Thermostat with the SmartThings Hub

From the SmartThings mobile app:

  1. Tap My Home
  2. Under Things, tap Add a Thing at the bottom of your Things list
  3. The app will say Looking for devices…
  4. While the Hub searches:
    1. Press and release the MENU button on the thermostat
    2. Press the MATE button. This will bring you to the network screen and a large r1 will be displayed
    3. Press the MATE button, this will initiate the mating process. When a device has joined a network the word LINK will appear under the radio tower
  5. When the device is discovered, it will be listed at the top of the screen
  6. Tap the device to rename it and tap Done
  7. When finished, tap Save
  8. Tap Ok to confirm

 

To reset the 2Gig CT100 Programmable Thermostat

If the 2Gig CT100 Programmable Thermostat was not detected, you may need to reset the device through a Z-Wave exclusion before it can successfully connect with the SmartThings Hub. To do so in the SmartThings mobile app:

  1. Tap the menu (Android) / More (iOS)
  2. Tap the Hub
  3. Tap Z-Wave Utilities
  4. Tap General Device Exclusion
  5. When prompted:
    1. Press and release the MENU button on the thermostat
    2. Press the MATE button. This will bring you to the network screen and a large r1 will be displayed
    3. Press the MATE button, this will initiate the exclusion process. When a device has been removed from a network the word LINK below the radio tower will disappear.

After the app indicates that the device was successfully removed from SmartThings, follow the first set of instructions above to connect the 2Gig CT100 Programmable Thermostat.

 

To remove the 2Gig CT100 Programmable Thermostat from SmartThings

If the 2Gig CT100 Programmable Thermostat is connected but not operating as normal, you may need to remove the device and reconnect it with the SmartThings Hub.

To remove the device via the SmartThings app:

  1. Tap My Home
  2. Tap Things
  3. Select the device
  4. Tap the gear icon
  5. Tap Remove
  6. Confirm removal
  7. When prompted, perform the exclusion procedure to remove the device from the mobile app and from the SmartThings Hub
