2Gig CT30 Programmable Thermostat

Your home will be ahead of its time when you install a cutting-edge programmable thermostat with customizable scheduling.

The 2Gig CT30 Programmable Thermostat can connect to SmartThings via Z-Wave, allowing you to remotely control the temperature while you’re away. This smart, futuristic thermostat can also automatically adjust heating and cooling based on a set schedule or when people come and go. Take control of your home energy costs and only use climate control when you need it!

Note: The 2Gig CT30 Programmable Thermostat requires the Z-Wave USNAP Module to connect to SmartThings.

 

 

To connect the 2Gig CT30 Programmable Thermostat with the SmartThings Hub

From the SmartThings mobile app:

  1. Tap My Home
  2. Under Things, tap Add a Thing at the bottom of your Things list
  3. The app will say Looking for devices…
  4. While the Hub searches:
    1. Press and release the MENU button on the thermostat
    2. Press the MATE button. This will bring you to the network screen and a large r1 will be displayed if the USNAP module is in slot r1 or r2 if the USNAP Module is in slot 2. (If you have multiple radios you can select which radio you want to join the network by selecting either r1 or r2 from the top left hand corner of the screen. When you have selected a radio, the large r1 or r2 will appear in the center of the screen)
    3. Press the MATE button, this will initiate the mating process. When a device has joined a network the word LINK will appear under the radio tower
  5. When the device is discovered, it will be listed at the top of the screen
  6. Tap the device to rename it and tap Done
  7. When finished, tap Save
  8. Tap Ok to confirm

 

To reset the 2Gig CT30 Programmable Thermostat

If the 2Gig CT30 Programmable Thermostat was not detected, you may need to reset the device through a Z-Wave exclusion before it can successfully connect with the SmartThings Hub. To do so in the SmartThings mobile app:

  1. Tap the menu (Android) / More (iOS)
  2. Tap the Hub
  3. Tap Z-Wave Utilities
  4. Tap General Device Exclusion
  5. When prompted:
    1. Press and release the MENU button on the thermostat
    2. Press the MATE button. This will bring you to the network screen and a large r1 will be displayed if the USNAP module is in slot r1 or r2 if the USNAP Module is in slot 2. (If you have multiple radios you can select which radio you want to join the network by selecting either r1 or r2 from the top left hand corner of the screen. When you have selected a radio, the large r1 or r2 will appear in the center of the screen)
    3. Press the MATE button, this will initiate the exclusion process. When a device has been removed from a network the word LINK below the radio tower will disappear

After the app indicates that the device was successfully removed from SmartThings, follow the first set of instructions above to connect the 2Gig CT30 Programmable Thermostat.

 

To remove the 2Gig CT30 Programmable Thermostat from SmartThings

If the 2Gig CT30 Programmable Thermostat is connected but not operating as normal, you may need to remove the device and reconnect it with the SmartThings Hub.

To remove the device via the SmartThings app:

  1. Tap My Home
  2. Tap Things
  3. Select the device
  4. Tap the gear icon
  5. Tap Remove
  6. Confirm removal
  7. When prompted, perform the exclusion procedure to remove the device from the mobile app and from the SmartThings Hub
