How to connect GE Zigbee outlets

To connect the GE ZigBee outlet in the SmartThings app

In the SmartThings mobile app:

  1. From the Home screen, touch the Plus (+) icon and select Device
  2. Select GE, touch Outlet, then select GE ZigBee
  3. Touch Start
  4. Choose a Hub for the device
  5. Choose a Room for the device and touch Next
  6. While the Hub searches, plug the device in. The LED will begin blinking to indicate that it's attempting to pair

 

To reset the GE ZigBee plug-in outlet

If the GE Zigbee outlet was not discovered, you may need to reset the device before it can successfully connect with the SmartThings Hub. To do this:

  1. Unplug the switch
  2. Put the SmartThings Hub in pairing mode by following steps 1-4 above
  3. Hold down the button on the front of the device (no longer than 4 seconds—if held for more than 4 seconds, the device will fail to reset)
  4. While holding the button, plug in the device
  5. Release the button immediately
  6. The LED should begin blinking, showing the device is ready to pair

When the device starts blinking, the Hub should discover the device. Then, follow the in-app prompts to name and save the GE Zigbee outlet.
