What you can do with Things:

See all your connected devices:

Navigate to the Things view to see a scrollable list of your connected devices, arranged alphabetically. All of your devices will show up here, regardless of whether or not you have sorted them into Rooms.

Actuate a device:

Things shows you the current status of connected devices. You can see instantly whether a light is turned on or off, or what temperature your thermostat is set to, for example. Tapping the status button allows you to toggle the device’s state.

See device details:

For finer device controls, readings, and settings, tap on the device’s name. This will bring you to the device details:

Right Now: Displays the device’s current status and any additional readings or details, such as its battery life.

Recently: Lists an individual device’s recent activity and when it occurred.

SmartApps: Shows SmartApps configured for that device.
