Samsung Multiroom Speakers

Note: Samsung Multiroom Speakers are compatible with the SmartThings Classic app. 

This article will tell you how to connect the following Samsung Multiroom Speaker models with SmartThings:

How to connect Samsung Multiroom Speakers

First: Set up your Samsung speakers using the instructions in the Samsung Wireless Audio - Multiroom app (iOS and Android).

Next, in the SmartThings Classic app:

  1. Tap My Home
  2. Under Things, tap Add a Thing at the bottom of your Things list
  3. The app will say Looking for devices…
  4. Wait a moment for the Hub to automatically discover your device
  5. When the device is discovered, it will be listed at the top of the screen
  6. Tap the device to rename it and tap Done
  7. When finished, tap Save
  8. Tap Ok to confirm

Your speakers have been added to SmartThings!


How to view connected speakers

In the SmartThings Classic app:

  1. Tap My Home
  2. Tap Things
  3. Select the speaker to see more details, like its current status, recent activity, and associated SmartApps

After selecting the speaker, tap the gear icon to edit, configure, or remove the device.


How to remove a speaker from SmartThings

  1. Tap My Home
  2. Tap Things
  3. Tap the speaker
  4. Tap the gear icon
  5. Tap Edit Device
  6. Tap Remove
  7. Confirm removal (this cannot be undone)
