Garage door configurations can also be added to an existing Routine:

  1. Tap Automations
  2. Under Routines, tap the gear icon beside the Routine
  3. Configure garage door settings as desired
  4. Tap Done to save changes

3. Trigger the Routine

Depending on how you configured the Routine, the garage door will automatically open or close when certain events occur. You can also manually trigger the Routine by tapping its icon from the Routines view within Automations.

Note: At this time, the Linear Garage Door Opener (GD00Z-4) is the only garage door opener that we have certified as compatible with SmartThings. As other garage door openers pass our compatibility and safety testing, they will be controllable through Routines as well.
