Connect up to 4 SmartCam cameras
Samsung SmartCam cameras connect directly to the Samsung SmartThings Hub (Hub v2) over your local area network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet). One benefit of this integration is intelligent buffering for event-based clip recordings, currently available as a free trial within Smart Home Monitor. Intelligent buffering allows SmartThings to record a clip 10 seconds prior to the start of an event. The Samsung SmartThings Hub (Hub v2) can support up to 4 Samsung SmartCam HD Pro Camera (SNH-P6410BN) cameras. To learn how to connect SmartCam cameras, see this article.
The same rules apply to the SmartThings Labs integration for D-Link cameras. While D-Link cameras do not officially Work with SmartThings, you can connect them to your SmartThings home, but performance may vary and we will not be able to provide support or assistance. The Hub will support up to 4 LAN cameras, with SmartCams and the following D-Link models combined:
- D-Link Outdoor HD PoE Day/Night Cloud Camera (DCS-2310L)
- D-Link HD Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-2132L)
- D-Link HD Pan & Tilt Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-5029L)
- D-Link HD Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-2330L)
- D-Link Cloud PTZ Camera (DCS-5222L Rev B)
Note: These cameras are not compatible with the SmartThings Hub (Hub v1).
Connect up to 15 Netgear Arlo cameras
Netgear Arlo cameras connect with SmartThings cloud-to-cloud, which allows this integration to surpass the Hub’s 4-camera limit. However, this integration does not have the capability for intelligent buffering, and video clips will begin recording as soon as they are triggered. Depending on your subscription plan, you can connect up to 15 Netgear Arlo Wire-free Cameras.
Note: This camera is compatible with both Samsung SmartThings Hub v2 and SmartThings Hub v1.

Configure up to 10 cameras for clip recording
SmartThings supports up to 10 cameras for the free trial of event-based clip recordings within Smart Home Monitor.
