Fibaro Wall Plug (FGWPB-121)

The FIBARO Wall Plug is a remotely controlled plug-in switch with a built-in feature to measure power and energy consumption. It changes the color of the seamless crystal LED ring, informing you about the current load of the connected appliance with just a glance. It’s also equipped with a USB charging port discreetly located on the side that also measures power consumption independently from the plug load.

 

How to connect the Fibaro Wall Plug in the SmartThings app

In the SmartThings mobile app:

  1. From the Dashboard, tap Add device
  2. Android: Tap Add Device Manually
  3. Select Outlet
  4. Tap Fibaro
  5. If you have more than one SmartThings Hub connected, select the Location you would like to add the device to, then tap Done
  6. While the Hub searches, quickly press the button on the Wall Plug three times
  7. When the device is discovered, a message will appear that the device was successfully connected to your SmartThings Hub
  8. Tap Edit to rename the device
  9. When finished, tap Done
  10. Tap Done again to confirm

 

How to reset the Fibaro Wall Plug

If the Fibaro Wall Plug was not discovered, you may need to reset, or “exclude,” the device before it can successfully connect with the SmartThings Hub. To do this in the SmartThings mobile app:

  1. From the Dashboard, tap on the Devices tab
  2. Tap the Hub
  3. Tap the three dots in the top right
  4. Tap Z-Wave exclusion
  5. When prompted, quickly press the button on the Wall Plug three times

 

After the app indicates that the device was successfully removed from SmartThings, follow the first set of instructions above to connect the Fibaro Wall Plug.

 

How to remove the Fibaro Wall Plug from SmartThings

If the Fibaro Wall Plug is not performing as expected, you may need to reset the device and/or remove and reconnect the device with the SmartThings Hub.

To remove the device via the SmartThings app:

  1. From the Dashboard, tap on the Devices tab
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right
  3. Tap Edit
  4. Tap the red minus icon (-) next to the name of the device
  5. Confirm removal (this cannot be undone)
  6. When prompted, perform the exclusion procedure to remove the device from the mobile app and from the SmartThings Hub
