In order to best support you, sometimes our team will need to have account data access in order to investigate your issue more thoroughly. Though this access is not required, depending on the issue, we may be limited on the assistance we can provide without being able to see more information regarding your SmartThings setup.
In compliance with our privacy practices, this access is not enabled by default and is only given to our team with your express consent. Note that our support team will never be able to access highly sensitive data (like camera video feeds) on your account, even if this access is enabled.
To provide our team access, please follow these instructions:
- Go to SmartThings Web (my.smartthings.com)
- Log in to your Samsung Account
- Select the Menu (⋮) and choose Settings
- Toggle on Account Data Access
- Choose the duration of the access and select Confirm
